Total Ethiopia’s Donations for the Fight Against COVID -19

Since the outbreak of the pandemic COVID-19, Total Ethiopia Management and employees are joining hands to find ways to minimize the impact on the public health and to limit distribution of petroleum products supply in the country.

To this effect, Total Ethiopia, in its Corporate Social Responsibility Program, in the Health action has donated products worth 19,705,375.00 including 80,000 bottles of hand sanitizers (500 ml. each and 80% Alcohol content) to the COVID-19 National Resource Mobilization Task Force.

In addition to the sanitizers, the affiliate made donation of items/products like: Total fuel cards, sanitary soaps, washable mouth masks, public hand washing facilities (supply and installation), at five selected Government hospitals, installed public hand wash facilities with soaps and water on 15 service stations, as  well as produced COVID- 19 dedicated stickers and them posted themon 50 selected pumps and distributed COVID-19 prevention Amharic leaflets to support the government on the fight against the spread of the COVID- 19 and protect the community.

As part of the national effort, the affiliate has also minimized staff presence at the office and sites, personal hygiene measures for all remaining staff at office and sites, awareness campaign to all the affiliate staff against COVID-19 via remote meetings, medical advices by the company medical advisor, awareness creation and daily follow-up and reporting on the well being of the affiliate staff and their family, dealers, contractors and stake holders towards Total Group and awareness voice message against COVID-19 transmitted to all fuel truck drivers working for Total Ethiopia to protect themselves and their family.
