Minister of Transport Visit to Total Ethiopia

 H.E  Dagmawit Mogges,  Minister of transport and H.E Mulu Gebregziabher , State Minister of Transport paid a visit to Total Ethiopia Head office on February 14, 2020. Thibault LESUEUR, Managing Director of Total Ethiopia, made opening remarks and addressed key messages. The ministers, government officials, transporters and business partners attended the presentation of Total Ethiopia’s best practices and key examples on safety, Road transport management, activities of daily transport safety standards, On-board computer center and Road Safety Cubes, which are part of road safety awareness program for children.

On this event, Total Ethiopia, in collaboration with Plan International and World Vision Ethiopia, donated 36 Road Safety Cubes. The cubes are designed for and distributed to elementary schools children located in the  risk zones in and around Addis Ababa  to help them take precaution against the traffic accidents, and were handed over by H.E Dagmawit Moges to representatives of Addis Ababa & Oromia region Education bureaus. .  
Mr. LESUEUR said even if the investment is expensive, Total Ethiopia gives more attention to human lives.  He also mentioned that on February 5,2020 Total Ethiopia has celebrated two years anniversary of “zero death accident.”  “Every sector of the country should take such kind of experience as example to minimize the rising number of road accidents in the country” said Mr. LESUEUR.

H.E Dagmawit Moges, on her part, appreciated the initiatives and best practices of Total Ethiopia in the transport management and safety policies and said that all other sectors, the dry cargo and public transport companies should learn from Total Ethiopia's commitment to the society and public at large.

The visit of the Transport Ministers has been a success, and a very good platform to share the road transport best practices of Total Ethiopia with officials and NGO, supported by national major medias.
