A pre-race Press Conference of the 2021 TotalEnergies Great Ethiopian

Today January 21, 2022, a pre-race Press Conference was held at Hyatt Regency with the presence of Athlete Haile G/Selassie, Managing Director and MANCOM members of TotalEnergies Marketing Ethiopia, Media and other invited guests. 

In this Press Conference, the change of the race name to TotalEnergies Great Ethiopian Run, the reason for the change and why we are partnering with Great Ethiopian Run were highlighted.  The following important points are communicated to the race participants:

• The race will start and finish at Meskel Square.
• It will start in 3 Waves:-

• Green Wave from the Bole side (start at 8:00 AM)
• Yellow Wave from the Megenagna side (start at 8:10 AM) and
• Red Wave from the National Palace side (start at 8:15 AM)

• 10 activation centers will be available in the 10 KM Circuit and 3 of them are located at Mexico Square, Harambe and Casainchis TotalEnergies Service Stations.
• To increase the safety of participants, face masks will also be distributed in addition to the T-shirt.
• All the participants are expected to wear a face mask at the Start and Finish line.
• Temperature check upon arrival for all participants.
• Hand sanitizing stations on course for participants who want to clean themselves 

 In this race, international runners from Kenya & Uganda and other foreigners will participate and TotalEnergies Marketing Ethiopia arranges different activities to entertain the 25,000 race participants. We hope that all the race participants will enjoy the race and have fun.
